| Who must complete the Oral Board Interview?
- All EMS providers wishing to become regionally
sanctioned in Tidewater
The Oral Board Interview:
- must be scheduled by the EMS agency's training
department or Operational Medical Director.
- requires affiliation with and the sponsorship of a
Tidewater EMS agency.
- is based on the Tidewater Regional Medical
Protocols.

will last approximately 30 minutes
- may only
be conducted after an ALS candidate has successfully completed regional
written and practical test requirements and any required field internship
and is approved by the agency OMD.

will be conducted by a panel who, through questions and
interactions with the candidate, will judge the individual's overall
knowledge of pertinent medical information, regional medical protocols,
and the ability to carry out the responsibilities of an ALS provider.
