The BSU is designed to deliver bariatric equipment where it is needed; however, it is not intended to deploy to a single shelter and remain there.

BSU deployment locations

There are two BSUs located in the Hampton Roads region, one in Tidewater and the other on the Pennisula making them available to support all 17 cities and counties in the Hampton Roads region.

The BSU is designed to deliver bariatric equipment where it is needed. It is not intended to deploy to a single shelter and remain there — it is a mobile resource available across all 17 Hampton Roads jurisdictions.
