Overview

It looks like an MI and sure feels like an MI but why didn’t they take the patient to the cath lab?” Identifying an MI is pretty straight forward stuff until they start throwing things like pericarditis, electrolyte imbalances, left or right ventricular hypertrophy, bundle branch blocks, and benign early repolarization into the mix.   What is a paramedic supposed to do? This session will help sort through these nasty STEMI mimics and help keep you out of hot water with the on-call cardiologists. We will be using real life 12-lead EKG case reviews to illustrate the various mimics.
