Overview

This lecture  introduces paramedics to the most critical cyanotic congenital heart defects  seen in pediatric patients. Emphasizing field recognition, clinical  presentation, and emergency management, the session helps providers navigate  these rare but life-threatening conditions with greater confidence. Using  simplified explanations, case-based discussion, and key memory aids, the  lecture prepares EMS professionals to identify when “blue” means more than  respiratory distress.
