Kelsey Rideout
Kelsey Rideout, MA, FP-C, NRP EMS Leader | Clinical Educator | Patient & Clinician Advocate Kelsey Rideout is an accomplished EMS professional with a strong background in prehospital care and clinical education. Kelsey currently serves as the ALS Education Program Coordinator/Clinical Educator for Stafford County Fire and Rescue. She is responsible for the ongoing training, mentorship, and clinical development of ALS providers, ensuring the highest standards of patient care across the agency and playing a pivotal role in training and mentoring EMS personnel. Kelsey has been in the Fire/Rescue service since 2012. She started as a volunteer EMT while attending Paramedic school and gaining experience. She then transitioned to a career fire department, earning the rank of Master Technician. After ten years of working on the ground, Kelsey accepted a Critical Care Flight Paramedic position in 2021, where she continues to practice today. Kelsey brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to each of her roles, and her leadership and dedication continue to elevate the EMS community across Virginia. Kelsey has always had a passion for the training and education side of the house. She attends many lectures and conferences throughout the country every year to stay current on new material and nationwide trends. Additionally, Kelsey enjoys teaching 'badge classes', MCI and Stop the Bleed classes, and developing custom BLS/ALS/Critical Care educational content. She enjoys mentoring new instructors and is a Virginia Office of EMS Education Coordinator. In addition to her educational responsibilities, Kelsey is actively involved in regional, state, and national EMS initiatives. She has contributed to the development of updated prehospital patient care protocols, educational classes, and operational policies, ensuring that EMS providers are empowered and equipped with current best practices. Her multifaceted contributions to EMS education, protocol and policy development, and responder support underscore her commitment to excellence in EMS. With nearly 15 years of experience in both ground and air medical transport, she brings a unique blend of operational insight and academic rigor to her work. She holds a Master’s degree, dual Bachelor’s degrees, and an Associate’s degree. She resides in Virginia with her husband and likes to travel, scuba dive, and cook.
