Overview

This presentation  will cover the assessment, diagnosis, clinical manifestations and treatment  of penetrating and blunt injuries to the chest. Injuries include  hemopneumothorax, cardiac tamponade and rib fractures. Principles of  resuscitation including use of prehospital blood administration will be  discussed. Complications associated with the injuries will be highlighted. .
