Didactic - Trauma Head On: IO Access & Bleeding Control

This didactic program offers a review of clinical research and case studies relating to vascular access and bleeding control. Attendees will be provided with training on intraosseous vascular access, hemostatic dressing utilization techniques, and pelvic stabilization. This presentation reviews vascular access options for patients with both urgent and emergent access needs. We will also review the literature that shows support of intraosseous access as a bridge to definitive vascular access.  In addition, hands on sessions will be offered to supplement this didactic presentation.
