Riverside

About Us
Riverside Health is a not‑for‑profit, integrated healthcare system serving the residents of Eastern Virginia since 1915, with its headquarters in Newport News, Virginia. Riverside operates a comprehensive network of hospitals, specialty facilities, medical practices, and community‑based services designed to support patients across every stage of life.
At the heart of the system is Riverside Regional Medical Center, the most comprehensive medical facility on the Virginia Peninsula. The center is home to the region’s only Level II Trauma Center, a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), and is nationally recognized as a Comprehensive Stroke Center and Chest Pain Center. Riverside Health is deeply committed to collaboration with regional EMS agencies, public safety partners, and community stakeholders to enhance emergency preparedness, trauma care, and overall population health.
