Kerry Markey-Cote

Kerry Markey-Cote, NREMT-P, BAS serves as the Program Chair for Fire & EMS Education at Virginia Peninsula Community College (VPCC) within the Public Safety, Allied Health & Human Services Division. A nationally registered paramedic and experienced EMS educator, Kerry is dedicated to preparing the next generation of emergency medical professionals through innovative instruction, leadership development, and evidence-based training. Throughout a career spanning prehospital emergency care, EMS education, and program administration, Kerry has worked extensively with EMS providers, healthcare professionals, and public safety organizations to promote excellence in patient care, professional development, and workforce readiness. As Program Chair, Kerry oversees Fire and EMS educational programs that equip students and providers with the knowledge, skills, and critical thinking necessary to succeed in today's challenging emergency services environment.
