Mack Drake

Dr Mack Drake grew up in rural Kentucky. After Medical School in Kentucky, he went on to complete his General Surgery Residency at Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine followed by Trauma and Surgical Critical Care fellowships at the University of Kentucky. He then completed his burn surgery fellowship at Emory University. He is a Fellow of both the American College of Surgeons and of the American Burn Association. At Burn and Reconstructive Centers of America he serves as a double board-certified surgeon with added qualifications in burn and reconstructive surgery and nearly a decade of experience in burn surgery, trauma surgery, and surgical critical care. He is Medical Director of the HCA Chippenham Hospital Burn Center. As part of the nation’s largest private burn center network at BRCA, his focus is on delivering high-quality, patient-centered care for complex burn and trauma cases. Dr Drake is an extensively published and currently funded burn researcher, educator, and mentor who serves as core faculty in HCA's general surgery residency program as well as South University's Physician Assistant training program. His current ongoing clinical trials involve Multispectral Imaging with AI interpretation of burn severity as well as novel dermal matrix skin substitute efficacy.
