Melinda Wilson
Melinda Wilson is the Trauma Outreach and Injury Prevention Coordinator at the University of Tennessee Medical Center (UTMC). A licensed Paramedic with Critical Care and Community Paramedic credentials, Melinda has spent much of her career in UTMC’s Level I Trauma Center Emergency Department. She also served as the hospital’s Disaster and Emergency Management Coordinator, working closely with leadership and community partners to support readiness and response across a range of critical situations. In addition to her hospital-based work, Melinda continues to serve part-time in the field as a paramedic with regional ALS services, maintaining a deep connection to prehospital care.She holds a Master’s degree in Organizational Leadership and a Bachelor’s in Disaster and Emergency Management, combining academic preparation with years of clinical and operational leadership experience.Based in East Tennessee, Melinda lives with her husband Rob, also a paramedic, and their two children, Marcos and Delmy—who always keep life interesting. She is passionate about building strong partnerships that enhance trauma care, support injury prevention, and improve emergency response throughout the community.
