Rick Slaven

Rick Slaven is a veteran EMS leader, educator, and national speaker with nearly three decades of experience in emergency medical services. He currently serves as the Regional Vice President of Midwest Operations for Amerimed EMS. A Critical Care Paramedic, Rick also holds a master’s degree in training and development from Middle Tennessee State University. Widely respected for his expertise in leadership, cardiology, and trauma-informed care, Rick has delivered more than 100 presentations across the country — including featured talks at EMS World Expo, the NAEMSE Annual Educational Symposium, and most recently as the keynote speaker at ACCREDITCON in Anaheim, California. He is the recipient of the Gold Foundation Humanistic Care Award for his efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic and a proud member of Omicron Delta Kappa, the national leadership honor society.
