Region 7 EMS Council expands its ‘Whole Blood Initiative’ to the Chesapeake community

CHESAPEAKE, Va. — Research shows that trauma is the leading cause of death among those under 46 years old, and approximately 25 percent of trauma deaths are potentially survivable.

That is why the Tidewater Emergency Medical Services (Region 7 EMS Council) Council launched its program called the “Whole Blood Initiative.”
