Psychomotor Testing
Although any Education Coordinator can perform the Psychomotor Verification of Skills, the TEMS Council is able to provide this service.
Candidates for Legal Recognition, Challenge and Reentry in Virginia will need to have their psychomotor competency verified by an Education Coordinator who is affiliated with a fire-based EMS system or accredited training program.
Candidates in legal recognition or reentry and all candidates for challenge seeking verification of their ability to provide safe and effective performance of psychomotor skills shall download from the OEMS website and complete form TR-21 – Application for BLS Psychomotor Competency Verification. Candidates should bring this completed form to their certified Education Coordinator who will be conducting their psychomotor competency verification.
TEMS is pleased to be able to provide this testing for a fee ($150 USD) and generally takes about 2 weeks to allow for planning, preparation and paperwork.
We try to be flexable and schedule the exam on a 'as needed' basis. Contact TEMS Education Coordinator David Keeler by email dkeeler@vaems.org.
